Xiaomi unveils Mi Band 7, Redmi Buds 4 and Redmi Buds 4 Pro
Today, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi Band 7, alongside the Redmi Buds 4 and Redmi Buds 4 Pro. Xiaomi had confirmed the announcement date of the Mi Band 7, and it had already become available for reservation, albeit without a price.
The Mi Band 7's biggest update is the larger display â 1.62â, up from 1.56â. The resolution is 490x192px, and there's finally an option to keep the display always on. Xiaomi claims that the usable screen area has been increased by 25%. SpO2 - or oxygen saturation - monitoring is improved - if the band reads a saturation below 90%, it will vibrate to let you know.
Fitness tracking is also better with a total of 120 training modes, four professional sports modes, automatic workout detection, an option to hold competitions with friends, and more.
Xiaomi says the Mi Band 7's 180mAh battery should last 14 days, but we'd expect that's without the always-on mode. Charging the band back up takes 2 hours.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 will start from CNY 239 and it's officially on pre-order from today. The NFC model, which supports payments to AliPay, will cost slightly more.
On to the Redmi Buds 4 Pro, which come with an intelligent noise reduction system that can suppress up to 43 dB of noise. The buds are IP54 rated, so they'll be fine during a sweaty workout or outside in the rain.
Sound is emitted by a combination of a 10mm driver and a 6mm tweeter. The buds are Bluetooth 5.3 and offer a latency of just 59 ms. Xiaomi says you can get 9 hours of constant use without ANC, while the case provides an additional 36 hours.
The Redmi Buds 4 Pro are up for pre-order in White and Black, priced CNY 369. They'll ship from May 31.
The Redmi Buds 4 also offer active noise cancellation but at a lower rating of 35 dB. Each bud has a 10mm driver, while connectivity is down to Bluetooth 5.2. The case provides an extra 30 hours of charge.
The Redmi Buds 4 come in Blue and White and are up for pre-order today for CNY 199. Shipments will start on May 31.
We expect the Mi Band 7, Redmi Buds 4, and 4 Pro to all arrive on the global market later this year.
