Xiaomi Redmi Pad's specs and renders leak
The Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro will be unveiled on October 4, and alongside these, Xiaomi is expected to announce the Redmi Pad, which was leaked by the company"s Kuwait branch last week. Thanks to the images leaked by Xiaomi Kuwait and other sources, we know what the Redmi Pad will look like. Now a new leak by WinFuture leaves little to the imagination as it reveals the Redmi Pad"s full specs and shows us the tablet in three colors - Graphite Gray, Moonlight Silver, and Mint Green.
The publication claims that the Xiaomi Redmi Pad will be powered by the Helio G99 SoC and come with up to 4GB RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It will run Android 12-based MIUI out of the box and sport a 10.61" 90Hz LCD of 2,000x,1,200-pixel resolution. The panel will have a 10-bit color depth and 400 nits peak brightness.
The Redmi Pad will have two cameras onboard - an 8MP camera on the rear and another 8MP unit on the front with a 105° FOV. The source claims the 8MP front-facing camera will come with FocusFrame technology which will switch the camera to a wider FOV when there are several people in front of the device.
The rest of the Redmi Pad"s rumored specs include Dolby Atmos-certified quad speakers and an 8,000 mAh battery with 18W charging. However, the bundled adapter will go up to 22.5W. The tablet will be 7mm thick and weigh 445 grams.
If you"ve seen the previous leaks, you must have already noticed the difference in screen and battery sizes since those leaks claimed the Redmi Pad would come with an 11.2" LCD and a 7,800 mAh battery. Then again, today"s leak refers to the Wi-Fi-only model, and we are expecting a cellular model as well, which could be the one having an 11.2" screen and a 7,800 mAh cell.
The Redmi Pad is expected to be priced under €250 in Europe, while the cellular version is expected to cost between €250-€350.
