Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming gets regulatory approval in China
Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is tipped to launch the Redmi K50 series in February 2022. We haven"t heard much about the K50 lineup yet from Redmi, but it seems the development is progressing as planned since the Redmi K50 Gaming has been approved by a regulatory authority in China.
The Redmi K50 Gaming, reportedly codenamed "Matisse" and having model designation L10, is rumored to arrive with a Dimensity 9000 SoC. It"s also said to feature a 64MP triple/quad camera setup or a 108MP triple/quad camera system and launch as the Poco F4 GT in some markets.
The Redmi K50 Gaming is expected to be joined by a vanilla K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Pro+, powered by the Dimensity 7000, Snapdragon 870, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, respectively.
We also expect the Redmi K50 series to run MIUI 13 out of the box, with some models bringing back the in-display fingerprint reader. Besides, there are also rumors of the K50 lineup coming with 100W charging and IP68 dust and water resistance, but it"s unlikely we"ll see them on all models.
