Xiaomi Pad 7's international launch is nearing
The Xiaomi Pad 7 launched in China alongside the Pad 7 Pro back in October, and if you"ve been wondering whether either of them would become available internationally, the answer seems to be a resounding yes - at least for the vanilla model.
That"s because a Pad 7 has recently run Geekbench 6.3 with an Indian model number, a clear sign that the Pad 7 is headed to India. And if it"s going to be available in India, there"s no reason for it not to be offered in other markets as well.
Like its Chinese version, the Indian Pad 7 is powered by Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, the best mid-range chipset ever made. In the benchmark run, the prototype Indian Pad 7 managed a single-core score of 1,877 and a multi-core score of 5,106. It has 12GB of RAM and ran Android 15 with Xiaomi"s HyperOS on top.
All of the specs that the benchmark revealed (though they aren"t too many, in fairness) are identical to those of the Chinese Pad 7, so we"re hoping this means the Indian model will be 100% the same. If that"s the case, then expect the Indian Pad 7 to also get an 11.2-inch 2136x3200 LCD touchscreen with 144 Hz refresh rate and 800-nit peak brightness, 128/256GB of storage, 8/12 GB of RAM, a 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP selfie camera, and an 8,850 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
