Xiaomi and Realme confirm upcoming SD 7+ Gen 2 phones, tipster suggests another chip is on the way

Qualcomm just announced its Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset for upper-midrange phones and now Xiaomi and Realme have confirmed their first phones set to utilize the latest SoC. The official Weibo pages for both brands confirmed their upcoming devices will be the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Realme GT Neo5 SE.

In addition, tipster Yogesh Brar revealed that the Poco F5 is also set to launch with the SD7+ Gen2 chip soon. Qualcomm is also rumored to launch another midrange chipset with the Snapdragon 685 and we get info that it might debut on the Redmi Note 12 4G.

Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Realme GT Neo5 SE confirmed to launch with SD 7+ Gen 2 chipset

Xiaomi has scheduled a launch date for the Redmi Note 12 series on March 23 where we might see the new Redmi Note 12 Turbo model powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. The phone is rumored to lauch with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate as well as a 50MP main cam and a 5,500 mAh battery with 67W charging.

Realme GT Neo5 SE is expected to launch with an AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate, 50MP main cam, an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP auxiliary module. The phone will launch with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage and boot Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0 on top. Based on rumors, GT Neo 5 SE should launch sometime in April.
