Weekly poll: which of the Redmi Note 14 trio is your favorite?
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 14 series made its international debut this week launching in India. The Pro and Pro+ models are the same hardware that we saw in China, while the vanilla Note has a few changes. Which one of these three appeals to you the most – and is it enough to get you to buy one?
Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 • Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro • Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+
We’ll start with the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+. They have the same display, 6.67”, 12-bit, 120Hz, and the same IP69K dust and water resistance rating. The Pro+ model stands out with brand-name glass – Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and 7i on the back, unless you pick one of the vegan leather options.
The Pro+ also has a better chipset, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 vs. Dimensity 7300 Ultra, and faster UFS 3.1 storage (vs. UFS 2.2), at least on phones with 256GB or more. It has a bigger battery with faster charging: 6,200mAh, 90W vs. 5,500mAh, 45W.
Redmi Note 14 series at a glance
The final notable difference is in the camera. The Pro+ has a larger sensor in its 50MP main module (1/1.55” vs. 1/1.96”) and a 50MP 60mm (2.5x) telephoto module. Both have 8MP ultra-wide and 20MP selfie cameras.
Here are the prices:
Redmi Note 14 | Redmi Note 14 Pro | Redmi Note 14 Pro+ | |
---|---|---|---|
6/128GB | ₹19,000 | - | - |
8/128GB | ₹20,000 | ₹25,000 | ₹31,000 |
8/256GB | ₹22,000 | ₹27,000 | ₹33,000 |
12/512GB | - | - | ₹36,000 |
No surprises, the vanilla Redmi Note 14 is the cheapest model here. It has a similar 6.67” display, though with a lower resolution than the other two (1080p+ vs. 1220p+) and the old Gorilla Glass 5. The chipset is also older, a 6nm Dimensity 7025 Ultra (the other two are 4nm chips). It also has a smaller 5,110mAh battery – the difference comes from it being a standard lithium cell instead of a Lithium-Carbon battery. The camera is the same as on the Pro model.
We are already working on a review of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, so stay tuned for more details.
What do you think about the Redmi Note 14 Pro+? It’s the best-equipped phone of the three, but it also costs extra.
