Weekly poll results: the vivo X70 Pro+ looks like a runaway success, the other two are also-rans
The vivo X70 Pro+ is looking like an easy sell, judging by the results from last weekâs poll. The phoneâs much improved display, revamped camera hardware (which includes the custom V1 image processing chip), the addition of 50W fast wireless charging and vivoâs first IP68 rating make this phone a powerhouse.
The vivo X70 Pro and X70 Pro+ are launching in new markets soon. They will be available in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the UAE. Unfortunately, there are no plans to bring them to the West, at least not yet.
The Pro+ was the clear favorite in the poll, attracting over half of the votes. So, itâs well-liked and compares well against its predecessor, now it is a matter of who can afford it.
Moving on to the vivo X70 Pro, it is a world away with less than 10% of the vote. Unless youâre in China, you will be getting the Dimensity 1200 version of the phone, which lacks the V1 chip. This doesnât compare well against the X60 Pro and its Snapdragon 870, especially considering the price gap.
Not that the X60 series proved to have any lasting popularity, at least going by this poll. Everyone who wanted a vivo X60 phone bought one and now it is the X70 Pro+ or nothing.
We almost forgot the vanilla vivo X70 and weâre not alone in this. The base model attracted very little attention. The upgrades over its predecessor, the X60, do look pretty slim. As the most affordable model of the three it can find some success among casual users, but it is not a power user pick, thatâs for sure.
