Weekly poll results: the Oppo Find N3 Flip is a good but pricey foldable

Despite a generous ?12,000 cashback offer and an ?8,000 trade-in bonus, the Oppo Find N3 Flip is still too pricey for a lot of people who voted in last week’s poll. Quite a few people are on the fence too, waiting for reviews of the phone to come out to make up their mind – ours is on the way.

The Find N3 Flip is available only in India for now, which as it turns out is spoiled for choice when it comes to flip foldables. Even so, it seems that Oppo picked its launch market well as very few complained that the N3 Flip isn’t available at local retailers.

Predictably, the majority is sticking with traditional bar phones for now. But of those looking for flip foldables, a decent number prefer to pick one of the competing models.

What did the Find N3 Flip get wrong? Not much if anything, based on the comments. The one major complaint we saw was knocking Oppo’s marketing that this is the first flip foldable with a triple camera – Huawei already did that with the P50 Pocket. However, the “sunscreen camera” on that phone is fun but more of a gimmick. Oppo’s 32MP 2x portrait camera is much more valuable to the regular user.

You don’t see many portrait/telephoto cameras on flip phones – in fact, this is the first one. Even with this unique feature, the success of the Oppo Find N3 Flip depends on getting the thumbs up in reviews. A price cut wouldn’t hurt either.
