vivo Y33s 5G arrives with Dimensity 700 and 5,000 mAh battery
vivo announced the Y33s last August with the Helio G80 SoC, and today the company unveiled its 5G version, powered by the Dimensity 700 chip.
The vivo Y33s 5G runs Android 12-based OriginOS Ocean out of the box and has three memory options - 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/128GB. It also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB.
The Y33s 5G is built around a 6.51" LCD with a waterdrop notch for the 8MP selfie camera, and around the back is a 13MP primary camera joined by a 2MP macro unit.
The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric authentication and packs a 5,000 mAh battery that draws power through a USB-C port at up to 18W.
These specs might sound familiar to you since the vivo Y33s 5G isn't an entirely new smartphone. It's a version of the vivo Y55 5G announced in January with a smaller display, lower screen resolution, and a different camera setup. You can check out the detailed specs of the vivo Y55 5G and Y33s 5G here.
The vivo Y33s 5G comes in three colors and is available for pre-orders in China through vivo's official website. The base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB is priced at CNY1,299 ($205/â¬185), and for CNY100 ($16/â¬14) more, you get 2GB RAM extra. The top-end model, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, will set you back by CNY1,599 ($255/â¬225).
