vivo Y28e and Y28s launch in India with almost identical specs

vivo has made the Y28e and Y28s official for the Indian market today, and these two are basically the exact same phone save for just a few differences.

The most important is the main camera: while the Y28s sports a 50 MP Sony IMX852 sensor, the Y28e has to make do with an unnamed 13 MP snapper. Both of them have a 2 MP secondary decorative sensor of some sort. On the front, the Y28s boasts an 8 MP shooter for selfies, and the Y28e has a 5 MP unit. The Y28e has 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage, the Y28s 4/6/8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Both of these devices come with a 6.56-inch 720x1612 90 Hz LCD touchscreen with 840-nit peak brightness, the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 15W wired charging. They are both IP64 certified for dust and splash resistance.

The Y28s has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button, while the Y28e doesn't have one at all.

The Y28e will be offered in Vintage Red and Breeze Green for INR 10,999 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and INR 11,999 with double the storage amount.

The Y28s's colors are Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple, and it starts at INR 13,999 with 4GB of RAM, goes up to INR 15,499 with 6GB of RAM, and tops out at INR 16,999 with 8GB of RAM. They should both be available from vivo's Indian online store, Flipkart, and partner retailers later today.
