vivo S19 Pro and Motorola X50 Ultra stop by Geekbench on their way to launch

Ahead of the official launch, most smartphones pass through Geekbench, as people in possession of prototypes can"t help but run the benchmark. This thankfully means a listing is created in its online database, which reveals some details to us about yet-unannounced phones.

The same thing has happened again, with two models in this case: the vivo S19 Pro and the Motorola X50 Ultra. While the former should be coming soon, the latter already has an official launch day: May 16.

So let"s start with that one. The X50 Ultra is most likely going to be China"s version of the globally launched Edge 50 Ultra (which will probably, to add to the confusion, go by Edge+ 2024 in North America).

The X50 Ultra has the model number XT2401-2, and it managed a 1,946 single-core score and a 5,128 multi-core score in Geekbench 6. It"s powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, paired in this prototype with 12GB of RAM. It runs Android 14, unsurprisingly. All of the specs revealed so far through various certifications are identical to those of the Edge 50 Ultra, so it"s a pretty safe assumption that these are twins.

Moving on, the vivo S19 Pro (model number V2362A) has managed a 1,567 single-core score and a 5,019 multi-core score in Geekbench 5, from its MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which in this prototype was paired with 8GB of RAM (though multiple options could be available upon launch).

The phone runs Android 14, and through a recent 3C certification it was revealed to get 80W wired charging support. Not much else is known about it yet, but expect more details to surface in the coming weeks.
