vivo iQOO Z5 with Snapdragon 778G hits India
Three days after the Chinese debut, the vivo iQOO Z5 arrived in its first international market - India. The local Amazon will offer the phone starting at INR23,990 ($325).
iQOO confirmed both the 8GB and 12GB RAM variants will be available. The phone comes with FuntouchOS 12 out of the box, and we have a confirmation vivo is not ready to bring OriginOS to the global audience. At least we have a promise for two years of Android upgrades and three years of security patches.
The 5,000 mAh battery comes with 44W fast charging which seems like a downgrade from the 55W solution in the iQOO Z3. However, reps told us this is negated by the fact the cell is technically bigger, so users will be able to enjoy a longer battery life with an ever-so marginal increase in charge time.
Price-wise, the phone costs INR23,990 ($325/€280) or INR29,990 ($410/€350), depending on whether you pick the 8/128GB or 12/256GB model. Color choices are Arctic Dawn or Mystic Space (in reality White or Dark Blue). You will be able to purchase the vivo iQOO Z5 on October 3 from Amazon India or iQOO.com.
