vivo iQOO 7 Legend is the company's new global flagship, iQOO 7 joins it
The gaming brand iQOO brought its 7 series flagships outside China. During an event in India, the iQOO 7 and iQOO 7 Legend went official, and as expected they are not quite what the naming might make you believe.
The global iQOO 7 actually corresponds to the iQOO Neo5, with vertical camera setup and a Snapdragon 870 chipset. The Chinese iQOO 7 is actually going to be known as iQOO 7 Legend overseas and it comes with the Snapdragon 888 chipset and design developed in partnership with BMW M Motorsport.
The iQOO 7 Legend's Snapdragon 888 is joined by UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. A large 4096 sq. mm vapor chamber for the liquid cooling helps minimize thermal throttling and extract more sustained performance.
The 6.62â AMOLED screen has Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh. Inside its punch hole sits a 16MP selfie camera.
The rear setup has 48MP main camera, alongside a 13MP ultrawide snapper and a 13MP 2x telephoto unit.
The battery has 4,000 mAh capacity, but has its charging is capped at 66W, instead of 120W of the Chinese version, due to certification-related issues.
The iQOO 7 Legend will cost INR39,990 for the base 8/128GB variant or INR43,990 for the 12/256 GB option. It will be available for pre-order alongside its vanilla sibling from May 1 on Amazon and iQOOâs own website.
The global iQOO 7 has a 6.62â AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and the company claims it can reach a peak brightness of 1300 nits.
The triple camera on the back has a main 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor, 13MP ultrawide-angle snapper with 120 FoV and and a basic 2 MP B&W camera.
The battery of the iQOO 7 has 4,400 mAh capacity, and matches the Legend's 66W fast charging that tops the cell from 0 to 100% in 22 minutes, at least according to the brand.
Since the phone is gaming-oriented, it has a 6000 sq. mm graphite layer, fully covering the liquid cooling system for better heat dissipation.
The vivo iQOO 7 is offered in Solid Ice and Storm Black colors, and three memory combinations, giving a wide variety of options, depending on the budget of the consumer. The 8/128 GB version is INR31,990, double the storage is INR33,990, while the 12/256 GB option is INR35,990.
