Top-tier Honor Magic3 leaks in alleged image with five cameras
With just hours leading up to Honorâs launch event in China, a couple of images have surfaced with striking resemblance to a premium Huawei smartphone. The image was reported by AnTuTu and then comments by the leaker Digital Chat Station were made about the camera arrayâs specifications.
Starting with the image, we are reportedly looking at the top-tier version of the Honor Magic 3, equipped with a five-camera setup with a rounded bevel all the way around the ring. The camera 5-camera array isnât the most striking part of the image: itâs that this Honor Magic 3 model looks a lot like the Huawei Mate 40 Porsche Design. The back of the leaked device has the same design lines as the Porsche Design phone, but the branding is obviously absent here.
Although the design is very similar, this model of the Honor Magic 3 will not have the same sensors equipped on that phone. Digital Chat Station reports that this tier of the Honor Magic 3 will have a 50MP main short with 1/1.28âsensor size, a 64MP periscope camera with 3.5X optical zoom like the one on the P50 Pro capable of 100X digital zoom. The other lenses are not mentioned, though these are the less important ones. We assume some combination of ultrawide, macro, and depth cameras.
The Honor Magic 3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 888+ chipset and a recent partnership with IMAX was announced for the smartphone where the circular camera ring was teased as a film reel. The Honor Magic Series 3 will be announced tomorrow and this is the perhaps the highest-end flagship to arrive from Honor since its departure from Huawei.
