The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra S Pen gets tested under water
Did you know that the S Pen that comes with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra works underwater? Weâre not sure we would actually use it that way, but the new IP68 dust and water resistance means that you shouldnât worry about splashes of water when you use the slate next to a pool.
The improved Vision Booster tech will automatically brighten the display to match the lighting conditions, be it the sun by the pool or artificial lighting inside. The 14.6â Dynamic AMOLED 2X display ran run at 60-120Hz and can be split up by up to three apps for when youâre multitasking â whether that means actually working or scrolling through TikTok and Facebook at the same time.
If you are doing some work, the new GoodNotes app handles handwritten notes and drawings. The Samsung Notes app can turn handwritten text into digital text thatâs easier to share and search.
Alternatively, you can pick up the Book Cover Keyboard and turn the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra into a laptop (actually, itâs larger than some laptops). With DeX and video out through the USB-C port you can even attach an extra monitor (and/or keyboard and mouse too).
This year the S9 tablets come with the faster and more efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset and the Ultra has a new 1TB option (plus a microSD slot for more). This option is paired with 16GB of RAM (the 256GB and 512GB models get 12GB of RAM), which also helps with the multitasking.
