The Motorola Razr 40 goes on sale in China, is coming to Europe next month
The more affordable Motorola Razr 40 arrives a few weeks after its pricier Razr 40 Ultra sibling. Right now the vanilla model is only available in China through Lenovoâs online store with a starting price of CNY 4,000 for the 8/128GB model.
We had a look through Motorola sites for other countries and they all said the local equivalent of âcoming soonâ. We did spot it on one Czech retailer, which estimates the arrival date as July 21, i.e. a month from now. You can pre-order a unit for CZK 21,600, which converts to â¬910. Thatâs more than the â¬800 that the Razr 40 was supposed to cost.
Anyway, at the beginning of this month Motorola India tweeted that the Razr 40 series is âcoming soonâ. However, neither model is available yet. In the US, the Razr 40 Ultra â known locally as the Razr+ â is on pre-order and will start shipping on June 29 (Thursday next week). The Razr+ is on pre-order in Canada as well, but it is already available in Mexico and Brazil.
As for the vanilla Razr 40, itâs listed in Brazil already (but there is no pricing or launch date yet). However, that is the only place that we saw it in the Americas.
