The LG UltraGear 17G90Q is the company's first gaming laptop
LG today announces its first gaming laptop, the UltraGear 17G90Q. This is a premium notebook with high-end specs and will go on sale early next year.
The 17G90Q features a 17.3-inch, 1920x1080 resolution IPS LCD panel. The display has a refresh rate of 300Hz with a claimed 1ms response time and 99% sRGB coverage.
Powering this display is an unspecified 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake - H CPU and the flagship Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q GPU. You also get a choice of 16 or 32GB DDR4 memory and up to 1TB of M.2 NVMe storage.
The 17G90Q features a dark Purple Gray color and measures 21.4mm at its thickest point. It weighs 2.64kg and manages to pack in a 93Wh battery.
In terms of connectivity, you get 1x USB 4 Gen 3x2 Type-C with USB-PD and Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 Type-C, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2x1, headphone out, HDMI, Ethernet, microSD slot, and DC-in for power.
Other features include fingerprint reader on power button, FHD webcam with dual mic and IR camera for Windows Hello, Wi-Fi 6 with Intel Killer Wireless, stereo speakers with DTS X Ultra, vapor chamber cooling system, and UltraGear Studio software for controlling system performance, fan speed, and per-key RGB lighting.
The LG UltraGear 17G90Q will be initially available in the US and South Korea starting early 2022. No pricing information has been announced yet. More information will be released during CES 2022.
