Tecno teases new Camon models, will also bring its tri-fold concept to the MWC
Tecno will be attending this yearâs MWC and youâll never guess what it will focus on â of course, itâs AI. The theme this year is âCreate the AI Futureâ and the company will showcase several new products.
It doesnât outright name the new products, but Tecnoâs page on the MWC exhibitors list shows the image below. Thatâs four phones, a laptop in the corner (likely a new Megabook model) and not one but two pairs of glasses.
And not just any glasses either, those are âAI glassesâ. Typically, this means glasses with built-in displays and microphones, giving you constant access to AI assistants. The company already builds AR glasses and has some creative designs â the Tecno Pocket Go, for example, is a Windows-powered gaming device that is shaped like a controller. What makes it intriguing is that instead of having a display, it uses a pair of AR glasses. Windows already has AI built in (Microsoft keeps pushing Copilot), but itâs not clear how this will play into Tecnoâs shift to AI.
Anyway, most of the phones in the image should be new Camon models, Tecnoâs popular line of affordable to high-end devices. Chances are that the company will also be showcasing its latest foldables, the Phantom V Fold2 and the Phantom V Flip2.
The company is also hinting that it will bring its concept tri-fold device, the Phantom Ultimate 2. This hasnât been confirmed yet, though, and itâs not clear what Tecno wants to do with this design â just show it off or turn it into a real product?
