TCL debuts Nxtpaper 4.0 screen technology, Nxtpaper 11 Plus tablet
TCL participation at CES 2025 saw the comapny introduce its latest Nxtpaper 4.0 technology.
This innovative display tech entails a full-color e-ink display and comes with updates in both software and hardware.
The first device to feature the v4.0 display is the new Nxtpaper 11 Plus, which TCL brands its first AI-powered tablet.
Nxtpaper 4.0 implements an advanced nano-matrix lithography technology to ehnance display clarity. The company claimed the tech allows viewing of high-res media and reading small texts in documents, and the panel comes with a 100% sRGB color gamut coverage.
The exact size of the display on the tablet is 11.5" with a 2.2K resolution. The screen has 120 Hz refresh rate and 550 nits brightness in sunlight. There is also support for T-Pen â TCL's own stylus.
TCL Nxtpaper 11 Plus comes with Circle to Search, Google's smart feature to search for whatever is on the screen. Other AI features include Smart Voice Memo which transcribes and summarizes discussions; AI Subtitles which provide real-time subtitles; and Smart Translator, which works on text, images and audio.
The company did not disclose more details about the tablet, including pricing or availability. All we know is that TCL is preparing more devices with Nxtpaper 4.0, and we will see them soon.
