Spotify has special integration into ColorOS 13, including a widget for the Always On Display
Oppo has teamed up with Spotify to make the music streaming experience on the new ColorOS 13 a little nicer.
One of the biggest improvements is that the Always On Display mode can now display a Spotify widget. By default it is a small widget that shows the currently playing track (with album art). You can double tap it to bring up playback controls without waking the phone.

Once the phone is unlocked you can use the special home screen widgets that match the OS’ Aquamorphic design. There is also a Spotify card on the Shelf, which offers music recommendations.

You will be able to use Spotify as a more pleasant way to wake up – you can set the ColorOS 13 Clock app to start playing specific tracks, playlists or podcasts instead of the standard alarm sound. Note that this will be enabled with an upcoming OTA update (coming after September 15).

Through smart, convenient, and human-centric features developed with our partners, we are bringing a more intelligent and efficient operating system to users, enabling them to spend more time enjoying music and the other most-loved features on the OPPO smartphones,” said Gary Chen, Head of OPPO Software Product.
