Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip FE might not be called that after all
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE (sometimes referred to as the Z Flip7 FE) has been rumored for months as a cheaper flip-style foldable that may be launching alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7 in early July. The name was never in doubt (confusion regarding the presence of the number 7 aside), until now.
Today a new report says the more affordable Samsung flip-style foldable could end up being called Galaxy Z Flip Xe, for whatever reason. Of course nothing's confirmed yet, so do only take this as a rumor and nothing more at this point.
We do however have to wonder, if this pans out, why Samsung decided against using the "FE" branding, which would probably make people instantly think of this as a more affordable alternative to the Flip7 - or maybe that's exactly why the switch happened? What do you think? Will Samsung go with the tried and tested FE or will it experiment and see what happens?
According to a previous rumor, the Flip Xe (or FE) will have the Exynos 2400e chipset at the helm, a 12 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 10 MP selfie snapper. With those cameras it seems like it might be a Flip5 with an updated SoC, but of course other differences could occur too.
