Samsung’s new Galaxy Book Go laptops bring Snapdragon chipsets and LTE/5G connectivity

There’s a new pair of affordable Arm-based laptops from Samsung powered by the second-gen Snapdragon 7c and 8cx platforms. The regular Galaxy Book Go comes in both Wi-Fi only and LTE variants while the 5G model gets you next-gen connectivity on the Go.

Both feature 14-inch TFT displays with 1920 x 1080-pixel resolution and 720p webcams. The Go model runs on the second-gen Snapdragon 7c chipset while the 5G variant makes do with the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G platform. You can get either with 4 or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB eUFS storage.

The software front is covered by Windows 10 10 Home/Pro. I/O consists of 2x USB-C ports, one USB 2.0, a headphone in /microphone combo and separate microSD and nano-SIM slots. Both models get 42.3Wh batteries which Samsung confidently claims can last you a full day of usage without the need to top up. The new ultrabooks come in at 15mm at their thickest point and weigh only 1.4kg.

The Wi-Fi only version of the Galaxy Book go will retail for $350 and should be available later in June is a single silver color option. Samsung did not provide any pricing and availability details for the 5G model.
