Samsung unveiled its trio of Galaxy S25 phones and also teased the upcoming Galaxy S25 Slim Edge at yesterday’s Galaxy Unpacked event. In addition, Samsung showcased its extended reality (XR) headset, Project Moohan, after the event. No one was allowed to touch or use the device but we did get to take some photos of it from the show floor.

From a visual standpoint, Samsung’s XR headset bears some similarities to the Apple Vision Pro but we can also see some slight resemblance to the Meta Quest Pro.

The visor appears to have several cameras hidden behind the glass. The top half of the headset houses several buttons while the fabric light seal extends above. The back area has a padded headrest cushion, which is pretty standard for XR headsets.

Samsung announced its XR headset back in December and we know it will run on Google’s Android XR operating system. We also know it’s equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip and that’s pretty much all Samsung has confirmed at this point.

Samsung will launch Project Moohan for developers first but did not provide any timeframe for its commercial launch just yet. We expect more details later this year coupled with an actual launch.
