Samsung i8910 Omnia HD and M7600 Beat DJ officially confirmed

We already knew that Sasmung i8910 and M7600 are coming but now we've got official information that their announcement is going to be at the MWC 2009 in Barcelona in just two days. We also found out their pet names - the Samsung i8910 is going to go by the name Omnia HD, while the M7600 is nicknamed Beat DJ. The information comes from the huge billboards all around Barcelona, advertising the two phones along with the Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCH, which was unveiled last week.

As you've probably guessed it, we're already in Barcelona getting ready to cover the MWC 2009 that starts this Monday. An important part of our preparation includes visiting a bunch of tapas bars and drinking a fair quantity of sangria all around the city and we couldn't help but notice the two yet unannounced phones pictured boldly on several billboards under the unsuspecting eyes of the public.

Easily one of the hottest models of this year's MWC, Samsung i8910 Omnia HD is said to come with a large touch-sensitive screen, an 8MP camera and HD video recording. As far as rumors go Samsung i8910 also sports GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI output and a 3.5mm audio jack as well as DivX and DNLA support. 3G is also certainly on board since a videocall camera is clearly visible on all leaked photos.

Samsung i8910 Omnia HD is going to be running on the Symbian S60 5th edition touch platform. We hope to hear more details about it on Monday.

The other hot name that got confirmed today is the Samsung M7600 Beat DJ. Again fully touch-operated it uses the Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz UI. Samsung M7600 Beat DJ offers improved music experience to the users by adding some DJ action.

The rest of the rumored specifications of Samsung M7600 sound pretty pleasing too, including a 2.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 3 megapixel snapper with LED flash, HSDPA, GPS capabilities as well as DivX support.

We are waiting for the official announcement of the Samsung M7600 Beat DJ as eagerly as you do.
