Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ is now receiving the update to One UI 6 based on Android 14
Samsung has been on a roll recently with sending out updates to Android 14 with One UI 6 for dozens and dozens of devices, and the latest one to get the tasty treat is the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ launched back in October with Android 13.
This model is now seeing One UI 6 coming in, based on Android 14 of course. So far it looks like the rollout is only happening in Turkey and Australia, but as usual, once the ball's rolling, it only takes a little while for these to expand to more and more countries and territories across the world.
The update arrives over-the-air as a 2GB download, and once you install it you'll be on the November 1, 2023 security patch level and software version X610XXU1BWK9 / X610OJM1BWKA. One notable feature is a new DeX mode, a sort of hybrid of the old DeX and regular One UI, according to the person who tipped us about the update (thanks for the tip, by the way!). There's also a new design for the control panel.
The usual notes about over-the-air updates apply in this case too, unsurprisingly. These rollouts are generally going out in batches, so it may be a few days before they spread to all of the devices, even in the countries where they're already out. If you own a Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ and you're lucky, you might be stepping into 2024 with One UI 6 and Android 14 on your tablet.
