Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra hands-on review
Samsung unveiled its latest tablets alongside the Galaxy S24 FE a few days ago, but this time there are only two - the 12.4-inch Galaxy Tab S10+ and the 14.6-inch Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
Samsung"s skipped the 11-inch Galaxy Tab S10 and you can see why - there"s a rather dramatic size difference between the Tab S10 Ultra and the Tab S10+.
The Galaxy tab S10 Ultra next to the S10+
This is Samsung"s biggest (and bestest) tablet yet but it isn"t drastically better than its predecessor. It"s a bit lighter, which is always nice, but most upgrades come down to the new chipset, which in and of itself is probably the biggest story here - this is the first time Samsung offers its Ultra tablet with a MediaTek.
Specifically, it"s the Dimensity 9300+ - built on TSMC"s a 3rd gen 4nm process and packing a CPU with four Cortex-X4s (one at 3.4GHz, three more at 2.85GHz) so you"re looking at an 18% speed increase over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 inside the Tab S9 Ultra.
The promised bump in graphics is even more impressive - 28% - while the new NPU is 14% faster. The silicon upgrade opens the floor for the AI tricks all new top-tier Galaxies possess - Circle to Search, Sketch to Image, and Note Assist among them.
The 14.6-inch 1848x2960px display is gorgeous. It"s laptop-sized, has a slightly taller 16:10 aspect ratio, and brings an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The screen is coated against reflections and it"s immediately noticeable and appreciated.
Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra brings an S Pen in the box. The S Pen leverages the Tab S10 Ultra"s vast canvas for productivity and creativity. It has an integrated button that opens up the S Pen menu. We think getting a keyboard case with this tablet is a must not only for propping it up but to unleash its potential - you can easily do some serious work on this machine!
Samsung sells two keyboards for its Tab S10 series - the one you see below is the €230 Book Cover Slim - it attaches magnetically and has a quality keyboard with F1-F12 function keys, integrated S Pen storage, and an AI button. You can upgrade to the €390 Book Cover Keyboard - it has a glass trackpad, backlighting, more adjustability, and can detach from the tablet for a more comfortable experience.
The keyboard case is a must-have with this tablet
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is on sale now and you get a free Book Cover Slim in some European markets. The base 12/256GB model is €1,339/£1,199/$1,199/INR 108,999. You also have a choice of 12/512GB and 16GB/1TB in most markets.
