Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE benchmarked, showing 32% gains in CPU performance
Geekbench confirms the reports that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ will be powered by the Exynos 1580 (S5E8855), a chipset that is currently found only inside the Galaxy A56. This brings a massive performance boost over the old Exynos 1380 that powered 2023âs Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+.
The tablet that ran the benchmark â Samsung SM-X520 should be Tab S10 FE â was the base model with 8GB of RAM. Thatâs another upgrade over its predecessor, which had 6GB as its base capacity. Both new FE models will have up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage (128GB base).

Looking at the single-core result, Exynos 1380 typically gets 1,000, so the Tab S10 FE is 32% faster than its predecessor. Multi-core results for the old chip are in the 2,800-2,900 range, so the Exynos 1580 is once again 32% faster.
Thatâs a solid uplift for the CPU over two years, but the true upgrade will be the GPU â the 1380 still used ARM Mali-G68 MP5 graphics, but since then Samsung switched to AMD for its flagship and mid-range chips. The Exynos 1580 in particular uses an Xclipse 540 (based on RDNA 3).

If you want to know more about the upcoming tablets, check out these renders. The FE+ will be bigger this year (13.1â vs. 12.4â), but it will lose the ultra-wide camera on its back. The previous two FE tablets were released in October, so thatâs the likely time frame for the new ones.
