Samsung Galaxy S25 family to give you free Gemini Advanced
Samsung is most likely announcing the Galaxy S25 models on January 22, and they may go on sale in early February. The S25 devices are now rumored to come with a very interesting perk: free access to Google"s Gemini Advanced.
This is the paid subscription version of Google"s AI, and it"s normally going to cost you $19.99 per month (but you do get 2TB of Google Drive storage as well). Samsung, however, will include Gemini Advanced with your S25 purchase, a new report claims.
The information allegedly comes from code in the latest Google app for Android. According to this, Galaxy S25 buyers are likely to get three months of free access to Gemini Advanced, those who get the S25+ will receive six months of access, and those who pick the S25 Ultra will get an entire year of Gemini Advanced for free, which sounds like a pretty good deal actually.
Of course, none of this is official - it"s just some strings of code inside an app for now. But if this were to happen then the code would need to be there in the Google app prior to the S25 family"s launch, and so the timeline fits quite well - we"d be surprised if this didn"t pan out.
