Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge appears on Geekbench

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch at some point later this year. As per the latest rumors, the device will measure 5.84 mm thin and weigh less than 160 grams, making it the thinnest and lightest Samsung phone in a long while. We now get a new Geekbench listing which suggests the S25 Edge will pack the full-fledged eight CPU core Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip.

Galaxy S25 Edge (SM-937B) on Geekbench

The device appeared with the SM-S937B model number, which is likely the global variant of the phone. It managed a 2,806 single-core score and an 8,416 multi-core outing. The CPU information sheet reveals the phone is equipped with the eight-core Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset alongside 12GB RAM.

The S25 Edge was previously rumored to launch with the seven-core Snapdragon 8 Elite (SM8750-3-AB) but this new listing refutes those claims.

We’ll have to wait around for more information but it seems Samsung is not ready to use a less capable chip on the S25 Edge which is expected to slot in between the S25+ ($1,000) and S25 Ultra ($1,300) in terms of pricing.
