Samsung"s Galaxy A15 5G launched back in December, and the Korean company is already testing its successor, the Galaxy A16 5G, which was just spotted in the Geekbench online results database today with the model number SM-A166P.

The Galaxy A16 5G is powered by MediaTek"s Dimensity 6300 SoC (vs. the Dimensity 6100+ in the A15 5G), and the prototype tested had 6GB of RAM, though other memory options might be available too.

The phone unsurprisingly ran Android 14, and those are all the details revealed through this benchmark run. Past UK certifications revealed Samsung is also working on a 4G version of the A16, so like with the A15 we"re going to get two separate devices, each with its own connectivity. Thus, the A16 4G"s chipset will most likely be different (the A15 4G has the Helio G99).

Although other specs of the A16 haven"t been outed, note that the A15 5G has a 6.5-inch 1080x2340 90 Hz AMOLED touchscreen, 128/256GGB of storage, 4/6/8GB of RAM, a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultrawide, a 2 MP macro camera, a 13 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. Hopefully its successor will upgrade some of these.
