Samsung B5722 and C6112 DuoS come with twice the calling power
The Samsung Duos line is about to get two new members - the B5722 and the C6112. The couple is a regular looking touch phone and a slider, but each one works with two SIM cards simultaneously, which can make life a lot easier for people who have to carry two phones.
The first Dual SIM phone is the Samsung B5722. It"s a touchscreen bar - similar in looks and specs to the Samsung Preston. It however relies only on quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity, without the 3G, and the secondary SIM card is dual-band only. Both cards can be used for data transfers.
The newest member of the Duos line: the Samsung B5722
The B5722 measures 104 x 54.9 x 14.4 mm and has a 2.8" QVGA screen. As any Samsung touch-operated feature phone, this one uses the TouchWiz interface. It also sports a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash and the internal memory is expandable up to 8GB via a microSD card. It also offers FM radio, Bluetooth, Facebook and MySpace integration (we"re guessing something along the lines of Samsung Corby). The battery has a capacity of 1200mAh.
The second phone, the Samsung C6112 is a traditional looking Samsung slider. It"s again limited to quad-band GSM/EDGE on the main SIM card and dual-band GSM on the secondary, but they are both active simultaneously. The second SIM card doesn"t have data connectivity either.
The other new arrival, the Samsung C6112
The rest of the specs of C6112 are more modest too - a 2.4" QVGA TFT screen and a 2MP camera. For entertainment it offers a music player, FM radio with RDS and a memory card slot for microSD cards up to 8GB.
Both phones should be available in December, but there"s no word on pricing yet.
