Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold FE and Z Flip FE both coming, chipsets revealed
Samsung has long been rumored to come out with two Galaxy Z Fold6 models this year, with an announcement most likely taking place in early to mid-July. Rumors haven"t yet agreed on whether we"ll see a Fold6 and a Fold6 Ultra, or a Fold6 and a Fold6 FE, however, so that"s still up in the air.
To complicate things further, now a new rumor out of China claims Samsung will launch both a Galaxy Z Fold FE and a Galaxy Z Flip FE. And it"s also giving us dimensions and chipsets for both. Buckle up, for this could be a wild ride.
So, allegedly, the Galaxy Z Fold FE, when folded, will measure 155.1 x 67.1 x 14.2 mm, while the Z Flip FE, when unfolded, will measure 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9 mm. The Flip FE will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, apparently, while the Fold FE will get a mix of Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets depending on market, with the latter claimed to be the yet-unreleased Exynos 2300 (although it could just be the Exynos 2200 too).
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold FE and Z Flip FE purported specs
RAM-wise, we"re looking at 12GB and 16GB options for the Fold FE, and one sole 8GB version for the Flip FE. In terms of storage, both could get 256GB and 512GB options.
Now, we usually tell you to take such rumors with a healthy dose of skepticism, and for this one you may need an extra dose on top of that. It"s not that any of this seems impossible, it"s just that there have been so many rumors about Samsung"s next foldables, and they have agreed on so little, that it"s all rather confusing at this point.
For what it"s worth, we have heard about two Z FEs coming before, but that was in August last year. A lot may have changed since. As always, we"ll let you know when we find out more.
