Redmi Smart Band Pro announced with 1.47" OLED display, Watch 2 Lite tags along

The rumored Redmi Smart Band Pro has just been announced, about a year after the original Redmi Smart Band. As the name suggests, however, the new version is better equipped and offers more features.

For starters, we have a 1.47-inch AMOLED panel with 450 nits of maximum brightness and 282 ppi. It's protected by a 2.5D tempered glass while the body is made of polycaprolactam (type of nylon, plastic), reinforced with glass fiber and it can go under 50m under water. The strap, of course, is made of soft silicone.

The device adopts the usual accelerometer, gyroscope and PPG heart rate monitor. A light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment of the display is also at hand. Using those sensors, the device can detect more than 110 types of workouts and 15 of those are professional modes, as per Redmi. SpO2 (blood oxygen) tracking is also on the list of features.

All that hardware is powered by a 200 mAh battery that charges over a small magnetic cable. The Redmi Smart Band Pro should last for about 14 days under normal usage or 20 days in power-saving mode.

And as for the Redmi Watch 2 Lite is toned down version of the original so it adopts a more square-ish design compared to the Band. The display is 1.55-inch LCD with 320 x 360px resolution. The same set of sensors are inside in addition to GPS. 5 ATM-rated too.

The device is also powered by a bigger 262 mAh battery that should last you 10 days under normal usage or 5 if you are a heavy user. In GPS mode, the watch can go for 14 hours straight, which is rather impressive too.

Unfortunately, Redmi hasn't shared pricing and availability details so those will be revealed later on.
