Redmi Note 13 5G series introduced in India with HyperOS
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 13 series in China back in September 2023. We had to wait over three months, but the lineup finally reached its first international market – India.
Three phones were introduced on stage – Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+. There is one change compared to the initial launch – they all ship with HyperOS straight out of the box.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is the mightiest of all three and comes with a 200 MP camera, 120W charging for the 5,000 mAh battery and IP68 water and dust resistance. It will be sold in White, Black, and a colorful Purple variant.
Prices (including intial offers) are INR29,999 ($360/€330) for 8/256 GB, INR31,999 ($385/€350) for 12/256 GB, and INR33,999 ($410/€375) for 12/512 GB.
Redmi Note 13 Pro also has a 200 MP camera, but its selling point was the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, making it the first phone in India with that exact Qualcomm platform. Other impressive features are the 120 Hz screen with Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top and a fingerprint scanner underneath, and 67W fast charging.
The phone will arrive in three colors: Black, White, and Purple. Prices are INR23,999 ($290/€265) for 8/128 GB, INR25,999 ($312/€285) for 8/256 GB, and INR27,999 ($335/€310) for 12/256 GB.
The Redmi Note 13 is said to be the thinnest phone from the Note lineup – just 7.6 mm, although we remember a Redmi Note 5A with the same profile that appeared in several South Asian markets over six years ago.
The phone has a 3.5 mm audio jack and an IR blaster, a Mediatek Dimensity 6080 chipset and IP54 protection, and a fancy Prism Gold color that the mightier siblings lack. Prices begin from INR16,999 ($204/€186) for the 6/128 GB version, INR18,999 ($230/€210) for the 8/256 GB option, and the 12/256 GB is INR20,999 ($250/€230).
The first sale is scheduled for January 10 at Xiaomi online and retail stores. The Redmi Note 13 trio will also be available on Amazon.in.
