Red Magic launches Cooler 5 Pro with MagSafe support
The gaming brand Red Magic introduced a new cooler for mobile gaming enthusiasts called Cooler 5 Pro. The accessory supports MagSafe through a magnetic side and has a back clip, making it compatible with practically all smartphones.
The Red Magic Cooler 5 Pro is also more powerful, cools better, and has AI thermal control that adapts intuitively to the device's temperature. Sadly, this feature is only available through an Android app, meaning iPhone owners cannot enjoy it.
The device by the nubia gaming branch is able to cool a smartphone by up to 35 degrees C and reach -12 degrees, at least in theory. According to official information, it can drop temperature from 28 degrees to 0 in just 30 seconds.
Red Magic did not explicitly provide a specs sheet about the cooler, but it did say that a custom-made chip is 36 sq.mm in size. It is the main powerhouse, responsible for the 36W cooling performance (with an appropriate charger), while the cooling part is achieved with a 3D VC liquid cooling plate that is 3060 sq. mm in total size.
Just like any gaming accessory, the Cooler 5 Pro has RGB lights that are customizable through an app. The 7-blade fan is ultra-silent, which Red Magic says is under 35 dB. Also, just like any accessory of this kind, it works when connected with a cable, it does not have a battery for independent running.
The Red Magic Cooler 5 Pro costs â¬59 without the back clip and â¬64 with the clip. It will be available in all regions where Red Magic operates from April 15.
