Realme's 300W charging tech demoed in leaked video
Realme is all set to unveil its 300W wired charging solution on August 14 at a dedicated event in China. This was rumored before, and has since been confirmed by the company.
Today, a video has leaked showing the tech in action even before it's officially announced. As you can see, it takes the phone in the video 32 seconds to reach 15%, and in 35 seconds the battery is already at 17%.
That is very impressive of course, but let's not forget that Redmi announced its 300W charging system last year, and we're yet to see any devices employing it. So we hope Realme won't wait as long to actually put this into shipping devices.
We might actually have a better chance with Realme, since it has produced phones with 240W charging support, and 300W isn't really that far from that, whereas Redmi's current devices top out at 120W. Interestingly, new mumblings claim Realme could go above 300W just to one-up Redmi.
Anyway, keep in mind that the August 14 event won't feature a phone launch, only the showcase of the charging tech.
