Realme GT 7 Pro display detailed ahead of launch

Realme GT 7 series is set to debut on November 4 in China but Realme decided to unveil one of the phone’s key features – its Samsung Eco² OLED Plus display.

This is an 8T LTPO panel that goes away with the polarizing layer found in traditional OLED panels while simultaneously increasing contrast and visibility. Realme claims the panel on the GT 7 Pro can peak at over 2,000 nits global maximum brightness and over 6,000 nits local peak brightness.

The more impressive bit is that despite the brightness levels, the new panel consumes up to 52% less power than the one on the Realme GT 6. Realme also confirmed the GT 7 Pro covers 120% DCI-P3 color gamut – an industry first.

The Samsung-made panel offers hardware-level full-brightness DC dimming with a 1 fps low-flicker rate with uniform colors even in low brightness scenarios. It is also HDR-certified and supports Dolby Vision.

The display on the GT 7 Pro will feature the trendy quad-curve which mimicks the feel of a traditional flat display. It will also support a Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
