Realme 12x's latest teaser is about its price in India
Next week, on April 2 at 12 PM local time, Realme is bringing the 12x to India. The phone was initially launched in China last week. The teaser campaign for its debut in India is currently in full swing, and today Realme has revealed that the device will cost under INR 12,000 ($143 or â¬133 at the current exchange rates).
At the same time, a leak from a usually reliable source points out the minor differences between the Indian model and the Chinese one. We already knew that the 12x will support 45W wired charging in India, compared to only 15W in China.
But if this leak is accurate, then the Indian 12x will also be 0.21 mm thinner and 2g lighter than its Chinese sibling - not that you are likely to feel either of these differences in real life, of course, since they are tiny.
Otherwise, Realme promises the 12x will be an "entry-level 5G killer", delivering "impressive features while keeping the price point within reach of its target audience", according to an official press release we've been sent by the company.
The phone is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 6100+ SoC, and it has a 120 Hz FHD+ display, and dual speakers. Aside from these officially confirmed details, because it's already been announced in China we also know that the LCD screen is 6.67" in size, the chipset is paired with a whopping 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage, and the phone has a dual rear camera system (50 MP main, 2 MP depth sensor) as well as an 8 MP selfie snapper. It runs Android 14 with Realme UI 5.0 on top.
