Prime Day deals: Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, Pixel Tablet, iPad 10.2, Surface Pro in the UK
In case you missed it, we covered the smartphone offers from Amazon Prime Big Deal Days over here. In this article, we will focus on tablets â and watches, but there were barely any watch deals.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ brings a large 12.4â IPS LCD (90Hz) and Samsungâs on-screen DeX multitasking (but not over video out). The tablet, like its sibling, is powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset and will receive 4 OS updates (one down already as it launched with Android 13).
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is a smaller but not small 11â tablet, also with a 90Hz IPS LCD. Note that while both tablets have microSD slots for extra storage, you may want to pick up the 256GB option on the FE as the 128GB one has 6GB of RAM instead of 8GB.
Google recently decoupled the Pixel Tablet from its speaker dock to drop the price. This makes it harder to use this tablet as a smart display, but maybe you can control your smart home from the Google TV Streamer. The Pixel Tablet has a 10.95â IPS LCD (60Hz) and an old Tensor G2 chipset.
The Apple iPad 10.2 from 2021 is the newest iPad thatâs part of the Prime Day deals. Itâs still fully supported and quite usable (unless you plan on some AAA gaming), but do note that this one uses the old Lightning adapter instead of USB-C.
The TCL NxtPaper 14 aims to create a paper-like viewing and writing experience. It has a special anti-glare 12.2â IPS LCD and comes bundled with a stylus and protective case. The tablet is based on the Helio G99 chipset.
Breaking away from Android for a moment, the Microsoft Surface Pro is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chipset and brings all the Copilot+ AI functionality. It has a 13â touchscreen and pairs with a selection of optional Microsoft keyboards. This ARM slate runs Windows 11 and should be compatible with most Windows software that you might need for work or school.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is a budget tablet with an 11â LCD (90Hz). It is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chip and features quad speakers. The storage is expandable via microSD.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 is small and cheap â it has an 8.7â display and the Helio G99 chip that we saw in the NxtPaper. It only has stereo speakers, but itâs a solid pick for a kidâs first tablet.
Naturally, Amazonâs own tablets are heavily discounted. The Amazon Fire Max 11 has a large 11â IPS LCD (60Hz) with stylus support. Itâs not the most powerful Android tablet, but it is the most powerful Fire tablet. Itâs equally good at entertainment and productivity.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 is only a bit smaller at 10.1â, but it still has a good quality IPS LCD (60Hz) and stereo speakers. The chipset is weaker, but it will play all your streaming shows.
Thereâs also the Amazon Fire 7 â the cheapest brand-name tablet that money can buy. Itâs only £30 if you get the 16GB variant. And you should, itâs slow enough that using the microSD for storage wonât affect it much.
The Razer Edge isnât a phone, itâs not a tablet either â itâs an Android handheld console. It has a 6.8â OLED display (FHD+, 144Hz) and is powered by the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 chip with 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage (plus microSD expansion). It comes bundled with the Kishi V2 Pro controllers. You can use those with your phone too, but the Edge is quite powerful for its price (it helps that it's 50% off).
Finally, a couple of smartwatches. The Series 10 wasnât part of the sale, but the Apple Watch Series 9 will also be updated with sleep apnea detection. It has ECG and 50m water resistance. It doesnât have a depth gauge, though.
Or you can grab the cheap option â the Apple Watch SE (2022). This one doesnât support an Always On Mode and is missing the ECG. Still, if you are an iPhone user who isnât convinced in the benefit of smartwatches, this is a cheap way to dip your toes in.
We may get a commission from qualifying sales.
