Possible second Pixel foldable's camera details surface
Back in July, a developer dug through Google's code and revealed some camera details about the Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, a Pixel tablet, and a Pixel foldable smartphone. That same developer went through the Android 13 Quarterly Platform Release 1's code and discovered camera details about what could be the second Pixel foldable.
This second Pixel foldable, codenamed "Felix," has references to folded and unfolded states and outer and inner cameras. The camera system on the rear comprises three units - 64MP IMX787 (primary), 12MP IMX386 (ultrawide), and 10.8MP S5K3J1 (telephoto). The inner camera uses an 8MP IMX355 sensor, whereas the outer camera on the front also uses the S5K3J1 sensor.
The developer also found references to another high-end Pixel tablet, codenamed "T6Pro" or "tangorpro." The code suggests it's in the early stages of development but doesn't reveal any changes over the regular model, referred to as "T6" or "tangor."
Google is holding an event on October 6 to unveil the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel Watch. It remains to be seen if Google will introduce these Pixel tablets and foldables at this event or at least give us a glimpse of the devices with the full unveiling happening at a later point.
