Our ZTE Axon 40 Ultra video review is up

2022-06-14

ZTE"s latest flagship smartphone is the Axon 40 Ultra, and it"s going to become available internationally on June 21. Ahead of its release, we"ve had some time to play with it at the office and an in-depth written review has resulted from that for your reading pleasure.

Today it"s time to accompany that with our complementary video review, which tries to cover as much ground as possible in under ten minutes. Without going into the nitty gritty as much as our written review, you"ll still learn all of the essentials about this phone and its build and screen quality, battery life, performance, and camera image quality of course.

The Axon 40 Ultra is a very interesting package with its latest-gen under-display selfie camera (which is the best hidden one yet), 6.8-inch 1116x2480 120 Hz AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (internationally, there are more options in China), and 5,000 mAh battery with 65W quick charging. Perhaps the most intriguing part of this phone is on its back in the form of its three 64 MP cameras - a standard snapper with OIS, a 3.5x zoom cam with OIS, and an ultrawide with autofocus.

The phone will start at $800/€830/£710 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. If you want the version with 12/256GB, then you"ll need to pay $900/€950/£810.
