Oppo has a bit of an unusual presence on the Japanese market, its products in the Asian country are often exclusive to that market, and the latest launch is one such case.

The company introduced the Oppo Reno7 A smartphone - a follow-up to the Reno5 A from last year. It has a Snapdragon 695 chipset with 5G capabilities and a light body - just 175 grams packed in a thin 7.6 mm handset.

The Reno7 A has a 6.4” AMOLED with up to 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The resolution is Full HD+ and the panel has the fingerprint scanner underneath, as well as a single punch hole for the 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

The trio of shooters on the back includes a 48 MP f/1.7 main, 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide and 2MP f/2.4 macro units. It has some features such as AI Palette that artificially tweaks colors to make photos more aesthetically pleasing - both portraits and landscapes.

The Reno7 A comes with an IP68 rating for water and dust protection, and NFC. The software is ColorOS 12 but it has Android 11 underneath. The battery has 4,500mAh capacity and 18W charging support.
