Oppo Pad 3 specs leak
Oppo is working on the Pad 3 and today most of its specs have been leaked by the prolific Weibo user who goes by Digital Chat Station. The Oppo Pad 2 got official in March of last year, so it's high time for a successor to arrive.
Note that while the Oppo Pad 3 may not be sold outside of China, at least not in many other markets, there's a chance it could launch internationally as the OnePlus Pad 2, since the original OnePlus Pad was basically just a rebranded Oppo Pad 2.
The Oppo Pad 3 is said to come with a 12.1-inch 3000x2120 LCD touchscreen with a 7:5 aspect ratio and 900-nit peak brightness, a 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front-facing camera, and a 9,510 mAh battery with support for 67W fast wired charging.
It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It will have an all-metal body, and "fingerprint-free unlocking" which implies some sort of face unlock (hopefully not just the basic one that only uses the front camera).
The Oppo Pencil 2 stylus will also be offered, though it's unclear whether it will be bundled with the tablet or available as a separate purchase. Either way, it will have a linear vibration motor, just like Apple's latest Pencil Pro does.
Compared to the Oppo Pad 2, the screen size has grown a little, as has the resolution, the peak brightness is very much improved, and the chipset is higher-end. So it's looking like a very good update to Oppo's tablet line. Hopefully we'll see this globally as the OnePlus Pad 2.
