Oppo Find X8 will one-up the iPhone 16 Pro in one key area

The Find X8 series from Oppo is expected to launch in China sometime next month. Past rumors suggest the device will feature an overhauled all-flat design and a "Quick Button" which should mimic the iPhone 16 series’ new Capture Button. There’s a new bit of comparison with the iPhone 16 series in the way of an image showcasing the Find X8’s display bezels.

OnePlus founder and Oppo Chief Product Officer, Pete Lau shared an image of what appears to be the Oppo Find X8 next to an iPhone 16 Pro. If you can’t tell which is which – the iPhone 16 Pro is on the top while the Find X8 is on the bottom. The focus here is on the bezels and more importantly how Oppo’s phone appears to have similar if not slimmer marks around the screen compared to Apple's flagship.

Prominent leakster IceUniverse chimed in claiming Find X8 features equal width bezels of 1.45mm which would make it the phone with the slimmest bezels on the market once it launches.

It seems Oppo is set to compete with Apple’s flagship even more as previous rumors also suggest the Find X8 will get its own Dynamic Island and magnetic wireless charging à la Apple’s MagSafe.

As per earlier rumors, Find X8 should launch with a flat 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate. The phone is expected to be one of the first devices with MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400 chipset chipset. It will also sport a 50MP main cam, 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 3x periscope zoom camera. In addition, the Find X8 should offer a 5,600 mAh battery with 100W wired charging.
