Oppo Find N5's hinge put to the test
Last month, we witnessed the Oppo Find N5 launch and the company had a setup to show off how tough N5 is – it placed the foldable phone between two tables and hung a 20kg/44lbs weight on it. That test didn’t put the weight on the hinge, but the next test did. Check out this video where Oppo used four Find N5’s to hold up a 50kg/110lbs weight – and this time the weight did fall on the hinges.
Did Oppo stage these testsRs A few years ago, channel State of Tech tested the Galaxy Z Flip5, which lasted an impressive 400,000 folds before breaking (double what Samsung was officially advertising and enough for 100 folds a day for 10 years). This same channel is back and has decided to put Oppo’s foldable to the test.
This is a much tougher test than what Oppo did – only one phone was used instead of four. And that one phone alone had to bear almost as much weight as the four in the official test.
