Oppo A60 surfaces in the Google Play Console, has its specs revealed

2024-04-16

Oppo"s long-running A series of mid-range smartphones is soon due to receive a new member - the Oppo A60. The naming implies it will be the successor to the A59, launched back in December of last year. However, there"s a twist - the A59 has 5G support, while the A60 doesn"t, which means it will more likely act as the successor to the A58 4G from July 2023.

The A60 has been spotted in the Google Play Console, and as usual that listing reveals some if its specs, including the most important one - it will be powered by Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 680 SoC, which is not 5G capable. The A58 4G went with the MediaTek Helio G85 instead, for what it"s worth.

A recent TUV Rheinland certification revealed the fact that the A60 will sport a 5,000 mAh battery, with support for 45W fast wired charging. A Camera FV 5 listing also tells us that there will be a 50 MP main rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, and an 8 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

These are all the details that have been outed so far, but we expect to hear more about the upcoming Oppo A60 in the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
