OnePlus Ace 2V is the official name of the Dimensity 9000 phone
OnePlus is expected to announce a new Ace smartphone, and rumors suggested it would be called OnePlus Ace 2 Dimensity 9000. Leaked images revealed the phone will not be visually similar to the Ace 2, and now we have confirmation on the name, which is a lot easier to remember - OnePlus Ace 2V.
The President of OnePlus China, Louis Li, posted an image on their Weibo account, revealing the new phone will have an alert slider on the top right side, way above the power key that sits in the middle, while the volume rocker is on the left-hand side.
The post does not explicitly confirm the Ace 2V will have a Dimensity 9000 chipset, while Li did say it will have a “flagship experience”, which a 4nm SoC could definitely offer its users. The sensor for the main camera on the back is expected to be 64 MP with OmniVision sensor instead of 50 MP Sony IMX890, while fast charging is likely to take a hit and be limited to 80W.
The phone will be initially launched in China, but given its different specs and looks from the Ace 2, we could see it arrive under the Nord sub-brand on the global market. We are yet to hear about an official date for the Ace 2V launch, and given the talk around this device, its launch should be just around the corner.
