OnePlus 13 coming with three 50 MP cameras, dual-prism telephoto lens
OnePlus 13 will arrive on October 31 with a design similar to its predecessor. The phone will stick to a triple-camera setup on the back, but today, it was revealed that all three shooters will be upgraded.
Official posts on Weibo revealed a main wide camera with Sony LYT-808 sensor will join the 50MP telephoto and ultrawide cameras. The telephoto will ditch the traditional periscope design and opt for a dual-prism solution, which is more compact and easier to fit within a slimmer body.
The OnePlus 13's camera setup will once again be co-developed with Hasselblad. The 3x telephoto solution will have a 33% smaller sensor than the predecessor, as it will be 1/1.95" big. The camera will have an f/2.6 aperture in front and be a circle rather than a rectangle, allowing for better light capture.
The company posted photos on its Weibo page, revealing the quality of the images captured with the OnePlus 13. Obviously, we'll refrain from passing any verdicts before we've done a proper review.
The phone will also have a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with up to 24 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage.
