One UI 5.0 Beta based on Android 13 reaches Galaxy S21 units in India

Samsung's public beta testing of One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 reached the Galaxy S21 family of devices at the end of August, when it became available in Korea and the UK. Starting now, you can also register your device for the beta program in India.

Currently, you can only enroll your Galaxy S21, S21+, or S21 Ultra in the beta program in India if it was purchased unlocked. As always, in order to register, you need to have the Samsung Members app installed. Then just enter it and locate the pretty obvious banner you'll see inside, which is advertising the One UI Beta Program for One UI 5.

Then it's a matter of entering your details and after that you will receive the first beta build as a software update within the next few hours or, at most, days. You will then get subsequent betas too in the same way, and the final version when that gets released.

Note that you should expect issues and bugs to pop up here and there, as this is pre-release software, so if you can't live with that, it's best to avoid going into the beta program. Samsung's release notes mention that Google Pay won't work on the initial build - it's hilarious to see that the company hasn't kept up with Google's constantly shifting naming convention - it's called Google Wallet now. Anyway, it won't work, and other features or apps might not work either.
