Nokia Lumia 830 to offer 20MP camera, microSD card slot
The Nokia Lumia 830 will likely be the star of Microsoft's pre-IFA show, scheduled for September 4. The photography spirit of the smartphone has already been hinted at by the leaked photos and the invitation itself, but now we have a few more solid facts about it.
The smartphone appeared in a leaked video acquired by TK Tech News, and got some of its key specs confirmed. The Nokia Lumia 830 will come with a 4.5" 720p display adding up to a pixel density of 326ppi. It will also offer a 20MP PureView camera, which we assume will be identical to the one found in the company's recent flagships - the Lumia 1520, Lumia Icon and Lumia 930.
Other confirmed bits include LTE support and, naturally, Windows Phone 8.1 under the hood.
To provide enough storage for those high-res shots, the Nokia Lumia 830 will offer a microSD card slot. It's still unclear how much the built-in storage will be, but given the mid-range nature of the smartphone we doubt it will be more than 16GB (and likely less than that). The Lumia 820 predecessor came with just 8GB of onboard memory, again expandable via the card slot.
The source of the leaks promises to deliver even more details about the smartphone as time goes by as they have managed to obtain an actual pre-release unit of the Nokia Lumia 830. We'll certainly keep an eye for more interesting bits about this one and keep you updated.
